Two takeaway bosses have been jailed for a combined five years for the manslaughter of a teenage girl who suffered a fatal allergic reaction to a meal.
Nut allergy sufferer Megan Lee, 15, died from an asthma attack after she ate food from the Royal Spice takeaway in Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire.
Mohammed Abdul Kuddus, 40, and manager Harun Rashid, 38, were previously found guilty of manslaughter by gross negligence. Rashid was jailed for three years and Kuddus to two years.
Megan and her friend ordered online via Just Eat two days before her death and wrote "prawns, nuts" in the comments and notes section near to a separate area about allergies.
But the delivered meal, which included an onion bhaji, a seekh kebab and a peshwari naan, was later found to have the "widespread presence" of peanut protein.
Takeaway owner Kuddus and manager Rashid, both Bangladeshi nationals, were found guilty by a jury last month following a two-week trial.
Kuddus received an additional eight month sentence, to run concurrently, for two food safety offences. Rashid was given 10 months in custody, also to run concurrently, for the same offences.

Zwei Bosse zum Mitnehmen wurden zusammen für fünf Jahre inhaftiert, weil sie ein jugendliches Mädchen töteten, das eine tödliche allergische Reaktion auf eine Mahlzeit erlitt.
Die am Nussallergiker leidende Megan Lee, 15, starb an einem Asthmaanfall, nachdem sie Essen aus dem Royal Spice-Imbiss in Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire, gegessen hatte.
Mohammed Abdul Kuddus (40) und Manager Harun Rashid (38) wurden zuvor wegen grober Fahrlässigkeit wegen Totschlags verurteilt. Rashid wurde zu drei Jahren und Kuddus zu zwei Jahren Gefängnis verurteilt.
Megan und ihre Freundin bestellten zwei Tage vor ihrem Tod online bei Just Eat und schrieben in den Kommentaren und Notizen "Garnelen, Nüsse" in der Nähe eines separaten Bereichs über Allergien.
Später stellte sich heraus, dass die gelieferte Mahlzeit, zu der eine Zwiebel Bhaji, ein Suchkebab und ein Peshwari Naan gehörten, die "weit verbreitete Präsenz" von Erdnussprotein aufwies.
Der Imbissbesitzer Kuddus und der Manager Rashid, beide aus Bangladesch, wurden im letzten Monat nach einer zweiwöchigen Gerichtsverhandlung von einer Jury für schuldig befunden.
Kuddus erhielt eine zusätzliche achtmonatige Haftstrafe für zwei Vergehen im Bereich der Lebensmittelsicherheit. Rashid wurde für 10 Monate in Haft für die gleichen Straftaten zur Verfügung gestellt.

It's led to an investigation into whether the man was responsible for more than 20 deaths at the ARI Armaturen company during his time there.
The latest victim noticed the powder on his food and contacted his manager. CCTV footage showed the suspect spreading the toxic material, The Independent reported.
