Yutaka Yamamoto, director of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya has a plan to help the Japanese anime industry. By creating the cryptocurrency Twilight Coin he intends to build a new way for anime fans to directly support their favourite creators.
The intention behind Twilight Coin is to formulate a stronger Creator-to-Consumer relationship which will aid the development of anime and anime culture in Japan.
