Seven years ago today, I picked up this little girl to come live with me in my house. I think about this pivotal moment a lot. I did not know then how much of my time I would give up to make her happy. How much of my money I would spend on her happiness. How I would give up getting manis and pedis and eyelash extensions to buy her remote control motor boats and ball throwing machines instead. How she would take over my whole house, turn me into her personal slave and make me sleep on the very edge of my own bed and then fart me into oblivion. And then I think how funny it is that I would never do any of these things for a man, even if he gave me cuddles 😂
